The matchup will be preceded by a game between the Houston Texans and the New York Jets as part of a Saturday doubleheader. Both games will be televised nationally by the NFL Network, and the Browns game will also be available on local TV in the Cleveland market.The game will be the second primetime appearance of the season for the Browns, who defeated the New York Jets in a Thursday night matchup on September 20. This will be the Browns first trip to Denver since 2012, when they lost to the Broncos by a score of 34-12 behind the quarterback duo of Brandon Weeden and Colt McCoy, who combined to pass for just 183 yards while taking six sacks on the day.That turned out to be head coach Pat Shurmur’s final year in Cleveland, a fate that certainly could repeat itself this year with head coach Hue Jackson.The Broncos have been a tough matchup for the Browns over the years as Cleveland has dropped 11 consecutive meetings to Denver. Cleveland’s last win over the Broncos came on a Monday night game in 1990, when the Browns rallied from a nine-point deficit in the fourth quarter to win on a Jerry Kauric 30-yard field goal.
