If you were to grow up in the best of all places , it would be Italy. Italy is all about three things- Tradition, Passion and Pride. It is a country famous for many things, be it food, be it wine, or be it about artefacts. It is a country said to have more masterpieces per square mile than any other country in the world.

Italy has inspired thinkers, artists, and writers for centuries and it would not be wrong to say that Italy has given a vast contribution to Literature , art, and philosophy. From the architectural designs to the culture; there is always an abundance to talk about when it comes to Italy.

Italy is about many things, and one of those things is Passeggiata- an evening walk or stroll for socialising purposes, participated by all age groups. Talk about food and wine; no one knows about the discovery of Pizza. It was made famous by Naples, and since then Pizza is the primary food of Italy.

Moving further, Italy has its cultural heritage downing on the cities still inclined with traditionalism and history. There is always more architecture, more food , more history, and more legends just waiting for your acknowledgement. Let your travel kick off list starts with Rome and Venice.

Rome-

Rome, a city of gladiators also known as The Eternal City. The ancient Rome was known to be eight times more densely populated than modern New York. During centuries, Rome grew into a dominant empire, rising during the rule of Marcus Aurelius in 161-180 A.D. Just like the ancient city, today's Rome built on seven hills: Capitolino, Palatino , Quirinale, Viminale, Esquilino, Celio and Aventino. The central area is called Campo Marzio, named after the Roman god of war, and was the ancient army's training grounds. It is where many of the famous sights located. Other well-known areas are Trastevere, on the other side of the Tiber River , and Monti. Little Pigneto is considered the most typically Roman neighbourhood.

Things to do and see in Rome:

Rome is one of a kind. No other city - not even Athens, Istanbul, London or New York - has as many world-class sites as Rome. Walking down Via del Fori Imperiali towards the Colosseum will impress even the most spoiled and shopping-crazed teenager. The city has so much to offer. In addition to the Roman heritage, there are also Medieval neighbourhoods, well-designed squares, colourful markets and of course, Vatican City and St. Peter's Basilica. A Roman guide suggests a few other places that a must see.

Venice-

Venice is a place known for its beauty as well as its enchantment. A city built miraculously on water has many tourist temptations to look up for including the remarkable history of traditionalism and contemporary artistry. The most attractive part about visiting Venice is its beautiful monuments , and artefacts Leave the other tourists at St Mark's square and the Rialto Bridge and explore the maze-like little neighbourhoods instead. The most striking areas and islands are Cannaregio, SanPoloSanta Croce, Dorsoduro, San Marco and Castello.

Things to do and see in Venice:

The Doge's Palace- The Doge's Palace, locally known as the Palazzo Ducale, used to be the residence of the Doge of Venice, and also space where the government could lodge. The court and the prison both were located within the palace walls; albeit since 1923 the building is better known as a museum.

Canal Grande- Canal Grande is the longest canal in town , almost 4 km long and 90-metre-wide in some parts, with an average depth of 5 metres. Public transport is available in the form of vaporetti - water buses- gondolas and water taxis.

Venice has a large variety of restaurants. As usual with Italian cities, the best dining experience can be enjoyed at a simple neighbourhood trattoria off the tourist crowd. Venice has many culinary specialities, like bigoli in anchovy and mushroom sauce, or castraure-tiny artichokes with Parmesan shavings and olive oil.

Let's move to more destinations for us to explore-

Naples-

The historic city of Naples was founded about 3,000 years ago as Partenope by Greek merchants. Later, an agreement took the name of Palepolis , the old city, and in 475 BC it became Neapolis-the new city. Under various phases of foreign rule, the city developed continuously, until it became the capital of the most important of the pre-unification states, the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies. The rulers of that Kingdom, the Bourbons, constructed a magnificent palace in nearby Caserta and filled the city with historic structures of all kinds.

Things to do and see in Naples:

The historic centre of Naples , with its splendid palaces and its democratic and vigorous working-class districts, is now on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Naples also boasts an underground city, as well as its famous picturesque views. Moreover, this courteous city marked by contrasts and democratic traditions, the annual miracle by San Gennaro's 'blood' turned liquid in front of the eyes of his followers. Naples is famous throughout the world primarily because of pizza (which, you'll discover, only constitutes a small part of the rich local cuisine) and popular music , with famous songs such as 'O Sole Mio'.

Florence-

A Latin word Florentia-literally "florid city"-was the name given by the Romans to this settlement founded in I century AD along the Arno river, at the foot of Fiesole, an Etruscan city whose ruins are visible on the hill which dominates the city. The flowering of Florence in art, culture and international trade began in the 13th century and reached its peak in the 15th century under the reign of the Medici family, who ruled over the city for more
