The process of forgiveness is often easier said than done. Most people struggle with forgiveness due to the lack of completion they want to experience with another. It is often times overlooked as one's suffering might inspire them to not want anything less for another. In black and white we can all agree forgiveness is the right thing to do and all religions practice this fundamental belief. But people are invested in the emotional body and need to feel their point was made , justice was served and the other person needs to suffer as he or she has. This belief system is a part of the mental body and woundings of the inner child. If we do not address the inner child and attempt to heal those woundings we are become unable to forgive others. We literally get stuck in the mental process that is fueled by the emotional state. The inner child wants healing and to be forgiven and to forgive. The adult living with the wounds of the past often times can not see beyond the pain that is triggered from these childhood events. This is when adults argue over knitting needles or the thread count in sheets and never forgive each other for an argument that didn't make sense to begin with. This is common with family members and unresolved issues from the past. We pick topics that might address the current situation of today but it is fueled with long standing pain and resentment. This pain and resentment goes into the wounds like salt and brings up the immediate response of not the present moment but of the past and years of unresolved issues.

How you would go about forgiving

The process of forgiveness consists of two things: your intention and your heart. Visualize the person you want to forgive in front of you and say out loud or in your mind ' I am now forgiving you for any pain or wrong doing you may have caused me from the time of creation until now and I am asking that all karma be cleared and transmuted up into light and love'. Then visualize them saying the same thing back to you. By doing this exercise in the privacy of your home or office and visualizing your family, friends and people through out your life, you not only heal your own karma, you create healing for the world. We are all connected and by forgiving those who have crossed our paths in this lifetime the ripple effect in the pond goes out far and wide around the world. We need to remember that the homework here on earth is to feel our feelings and the karma is to practice forgiveness. Once we have allowed ourselves the freedom through feeling our feelings , expressing them and forgiving those who have not understood us or the moment we move through our experience here on Earth with a much greater ease. We are then free to practice loving at the deepest level of our beings.
