The ISEE test is required for many students who hope to attend a private school in America. The test has two primary purposes. It is intended to determine how much a test-taker already knows , and also to measure that specific applicant’s capability to learn more.


Taking this exam is a three hour process, and students are only allowed to take the test one time in a six month period. The whole scored portion of the examination is in a multiple choice format. The last portion of the exam is an essay which is not scored. At the same time, it remains very significant–the essay of the applicant is mailed to the schools the student hopes to go to , along with the scoring report.


The ISEE test is composed of four different portions. The first section that you will encounter is the Verbal Reasoning section, which consists of synonyms questions and sentence completion questions. On the Lower Level ISEE Test, they can have 25 minutes , but for the Middle and Upper Level ISEE Tests, students have 20 minutes to finish this 40 question portion of the test. The second of the two ISEE mathematics sections is the Quantitative Reasoning section, which comes after the Verbal Reasoning section of the exam. Test-takers have to comprehend basic mathematics , like algebra and geometry, and test-takers must be able to apply them to pretty foreign question presentations.
