The members of one of the most exclusive clubs on the planet have to earn their stripes...”Browns reportedly work out tackle Brant Weiss The Cleveland Browns may have had the day off on Tuesday, but general manager John Dorsey stayed true to his “football guy” roots as he continues to look to add depth to the squad.The team reportedly brought in offense tackle Brant Weiss for a tryout , according to a Tweet from Howard Balzer of The Sports Xchange:Weiss was signed by the Arizona Cardinals this past spring as an undrafted free agent out of Toledo. He spent all of training camp and the preseason with the Cardinals before being released on September 1.While at Toledo, the 6-foot-6 and 297-pound Weiss was a First-team All-MAC selection in 2017 as a redshirt senior, starting 14 games at right tackle. He helped the Rockets offense rank first in the conference in total offense with 483.9 yards per game, second in passing offense (279.9 yards per game) and scoring (36.4 points per game) , and third in rushing offense (204 yards per game).He was also selected to the Academic All-MAC football team. All told, Weiss played 36 games in his collegiate career, making 19 starts. If anything, Weiss seems like a candidate for the practice squad.
