In 2009 one of the best high-performance cars produced by BMW currently is the M Coupe. The M Coupe is the second generation manufactured. The first car based on the E368 Z3 the other was based on the E86 Z4. Both versions of the car have a Convertible and a Roadster version. Both generations have a “sister” ConvertibleRoadster model available , with another generation that came out in 2009.
Engineer Burkhard G?schel the developer of the M coupe designed the car to have a more rigid feel in the controls to increase powered and handling of the automobile… The development team had a hard time convincing the Board of Directors to approve the model for production, but it was eventually allowed to proceed as planned. To achieve this goal of better rigid ability, as many body panels as possible had to be shared with the roadster, thus the doors and everything from the A-pillar forward are interchangeable between the coupe and roadster, as are most of the interior parts. The Z3 coupe , which uses the Z3 drive train, chassis and cosmetics, was approved for production at the same time.
